Moana is a brave, curious teenager who lives on the island of Motunui. Her heart has always been drawn to the ocean and to the unknown that lies beyond it. One day, the Ocean calls to Moana. Answering that call, she sets sail beyond her island's reef for the first time in her life. Her goal is to bring prosperity back to her people. On this unforgettable voyage she is joined by Maui, the demigod known for his bad reputation. As this utterly mismatched pair make their way between the dangers of the sea and their own differences, they learn to understand each other. Directed by Thomas Kail, this 115-minute 2026 live-action film stars Catherine Lagaʻaia as Moana, with Dwayne Johnson once again playing Maui.
