Descendants: The Rise of Red

A closer look at the story

The kingdom of Auradon is rocked by a coup launched by the Queen of Hearts. In the midst of the turmoil, the paths of two young women cross in an unexpected way. One is Red, the Queen of Hearts' rebellious, headstrong daughter; the other is Chloe, Cinderella's daughter, who wants everything to be perfect. Despite being so different from each other, the two decide to team up to save the kingdom. Their plan is bold and risky: they will travel into the past and attempt to reverse the painful event that pushed Red's mother towards villainy. On this demanding mission, two very different girls have to learn to work together towards a shared goal. Directed by Jennifer Phang and written by Dan Frey and Russell Sommer, this 92-minute 2024 film stars Kylie Cantrall as Red and Malia Baker as Chloe.
