A closer look at the story
Joe is a skilled martial arts fighter. His life is turned upside down when he makes a huge sacrifice to protect his wife: he takes the fall for her in a drug bust and goes to prison. When he finally regains his freedom, far worse news awaits him. His son has a life-threatening tumour, and the boy needs an expensive operation to survive. Only one path remains if he wants to save his son: a brutal tournament that pits tough fighters of every style against one another, with a big cash prize at stake. Joe steps into the ring giving everything he has, because this time he is not fighting for his pride but for his son's life. Directed by Taim M. Adams and written by Sean David Lowe and Keith W. Strandberg, this 91-minute 2026 action film stars Mathis Landwehr as Joe, with Li Yanlong and Kurt McKinney also in the cast.
