A closer look at the story

Out hunting in the empty desert of West Texas, Llewelyn Moss comes across the remains of a drug deal gone bad: dead bodies, a stash of heroin and a case holding two million dollars. The moment he decides to take the money and walk away, his life changes irreversibly. The cool, methodical hired killer Anton Chigurh sets out after the case, and Ed Tom Bell, an ageing local sheriff, follows their trail. As the line between hunter and hunted blurs, the pursuit of money and of justice turns into a bloody collision. Adapted from Cormac McCarthy's novel and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, the 122-minute 2007 film stars Javier Bardem, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin in a tense crime thriller.
