A closer look at the story

Today, Optimus Prime and Megatron are known throughout the universe as each other's mortal enemies. But it was not always so. Transformers One is a never-before-told origin story that goes back to the days when these two legendary figures were still known as Orion Pax and D-16, two friends as close as brothers. Growing up together on the planet Cybertron, the pair share the same dreams and an unbreakable bond. In a story that also features Elita-1, B-127 and Sentinel Prime, events gradually drive Orion Pax and D-16 apart, leading at last to a rupture that will change the fate of Cybertron forever. Directed by Josh Cooley, this 104-minute 2024 animation features the voices of Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson and Keegan-Michael Key.
