The Nun II
The Nun II: Sister Irene faces Valak once more
A closer look at the story
It is 1956, and Sister Irene is trying to put behind her the deep scars left by her first encounter with the demon. The past, however, will not leave her in peace. In France, a priest is brutally killed, and soon rumours of strange happenings and unexplained deaths begin to spread. Asked to look into the events, Irene follows the trail to a terrifying truth: Valak, the demon disguised as a nun, has returned and is stronger than ever. Once again, Irene comes face to face with this great evil. This time the only way out is to confront her deepest fears and take the demon on directly. Directed by Michael Chaves, this 110-minute 2023 horror film sees Taissa Farmiga return as Sister Irene, with Storm Reid and Anna Popplewell also in the cast.
