A closer look at the story
Paxton and Josh are young travellers exploring Europe with packs on their backs. The aim of their trip is clear: have fun, push the boundaries and enjoy the most unforgettable holiday of their lives. One day they hear about a hostel outside a town in Slovakia that is said to fulfil every fantasy they could have. Among backpackers, it is spoken of as a kind of paradise. When they arrive, everything seems to be just as described, and the young men soon get close to two beautiful women, Natalya and Svetlana. But behind this paradise lies a hell none of them could ever have imagined. Written and directed by Eli Roth, the 94-minute 2006 film stars Jay Hernandez, Derek Richardson and Eythor Gudjonsson in a brutal horror film.
