The Fantastic 4: First Steps

A closer look at the story

In a colourful, retro-futuristic world inspired by the 1960s, Marvel's First Family faces its greatest test yet. Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm, better known as Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Thing and the Human Torch, must protect Earth from Galactus, an insatiable god from space, and his mysterious Herald, the Silver Surfer. But this threat tests them not only as superheroes but as a family. As they try to save the planet, the four of them must strike a delicate balance between their heroic duties and the strength of the family ties between them. Directed by Matt Shakman, the 115-minute 2025 film stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn in a superhero adventure.
