Megamind
Megamind: A villain left adrift after beating his rival
A closer look at the story
Two aliens arrive on Earth as babies: one grows into Metro Man, the city's flawless and beloved superhero, while the other, dogged by bad luck, becomes the brilliant supervillain Megamind. After years of relentless rivalry, Megamind unexpectedly manages to defeat his arch-enemy. Victory, though, is not as sweet as he had hoped: with no hero left to fight, he loses his purpose in life. To fill the void he decides to create a new hero, but his "hero" turns into a villain even worse than he ever was. Saving the city now falls to Megamind himself. Tom McGrath directs this 96-minute animated comedy from 2010, with Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey and Jonah Hill in the voice cast, a send-up of superhero stories.
