Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog: The fastest hedgehog takes refuge on Earth
A closer look at the story
Sonic, a blue hedgehog with incredible speed, was in danger on his own world as a youngster, so he used magic rings given to him by his guardian, the owl Longclaw, to jump across dimensions to Earth. He makes a secret home in the town of Green Hills, but however peaceful it is, he is lonely. One day he meets the town's sheriff, Tom Wachowski, and sets off with him towards San Francisco to recover the rings he has lost. Sonic's extraordinary power, however, has caught the attention of Dr. Robotnik, an evil genius working for the government, who chases them with his robots in order to seize that power and rule the world. Directed by Jeff Fowler, the 99-minute 2020 film pairs Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic with James Marsden, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, in a fun family adventure.
