Young Sheldon

A closer look at the story

Young Sheldon goes back to the childhood of Sheldon Cooper, the memorable character audiences first met as an adult in The Big Bang Theory. Growing up in Texas, Sheldon is a genuine child prodigy, with intelligence and mathematical ability far beyond those of his peers. That extraordinary mind, however, is not much help to him in everyday life. His sharp intellect often sets him apart from the kids his age and from those around him; at school and at home alike, social relationships are the hardest equation of all for him to solve. The rest of the Cooper family, Mary, George, Georgie and Missy, try to understand this remarkable boy and learn to live with him. Created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro and running on CBS from 2017 for seven seasons and 141 episodes, this family comedy stars Iain Armitage as Sheldon.
