A closer look at the story
Resident Dead is a zombie horror film in which hope and terror are tightly intertwined. A man's daughter has recently turned into a zombie. He is not ready to give up on her, though. In the hope that a cure will one day be found, he keeps his daughter safely locked away and goes on protecting her. Then he receives an unexpected offer: he must deliver a package whose contents are unknown, carrying it through the hordes of walking dead that fill the streets. If he completes the job, he will be rewarded with a remedy for the girl. Should he fail, or opens the package, both he and his daughter will be killed. Taking on the risky job for her sake, the father heads out into danger. Written and directed by Ryan Ebert, this 89-minute 2026 horror film stars John Wells, Isabel Ramirez and Thandiwe McMillan.
