Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

A closer look at the story

The party of heroes has defeated the Demon King and brought peace back to the land. With their epic quest over, each goes their own way and settles into a quiet, solitary life. For Frieren, the party's elven mage, however, time flows very differently from the way it does for humans. As generations pass, Frieren is confronted with the fact that humans die and with how precious the time she spent with them really was. Taking on a new apprentice, she promises to fulfil her old friends' dying wishes and sets out on a new journey. At its core lies one question: can an elf ever truly come to terms with how life and death work? Launched on Nippon TV in 2023, this fantasy anime features Atsumi Tanezaki as the voice of Frieren, with Kana Ichinose and Chiaki Kobayashi also in the cast.
