The Lego Movie

A closer look at the story

Emmet is an utterly ordinary Lego mini-figure who follows every rule to the letter and lives the same routine day after day. One day, thanks to a misunderstanding, he is mistaken for the extraordinary MasterBuilder who is supposed to save the world. He soon finds himself among a band of peculiar strangers setting out to stop the evil tyrant Lord Business from taking over the universe, a group that includes Wyldstyle, Vitruvius and Batman himself. The problem is that Emmet is not remotely ready for such an epic adventure. Lord and Miller wrote and directed this 100-minute 2014 animation, in which Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell and Morgan Freeman lend their voices to an inventive comedy.
