A closer look at the story
Years after leaving, a writer returns to the village house where he spent his childhood. The quiet village, the familiar rooms and the scarecrow standing in the field stir up dark memories he has long kept buried. As he begins to face what happened in the past, he can no longer be sure how much of what he sees and remembers is real and how much is the work of his own mind. To move on with his life, he must first overcome fears he has carried since he was a boy. Directed by Kıvanç Karabulut from a screenplay by Atakan Karabulut, who also plays the writer, this Turkish horror thriller features Aziz Keskinsoy as the village head.
