Bones

A closer look at the story

After her parents suddenly vanished when she was a child, Dr. Temperance Brennan grew up in orphanages and devoted her life to anthropology in the hope of solving that mystery. Today she is a brilliant forensic anthropologist at the Jeffersonian Institute, as well as the author of best-selling crime novels. Her speciality is bones. Together with her colleagues in the Jeffersonian's forensic laboratory, Brennan helps Seeley Booth, a special agent with the FBI, crack murder cases. In the cases they take on, the remains are so decomposed, burned or damaged that standard methods of identification are of no use. Created by Hart Hanson, this crime drama aired on FOX from 2005 for 12 seasons and 246 episodes, with Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz sharing the leads.
