The year is 2029. As John Connor, leader of the human resistance, prepares to take the war against the machines into its final stage, he receives alarming news: Skynet has sent a Terminator back in time to kill his mother, Sarah Connor. To protect her and the future of humanity, John sends his loyal soldier Kyle Reese to 1984. When Reese arrives, though, he finds a completely different world from the past he expected; events have already shifted course. In this new and unfamiliar timeline, unexpected allies, even more dangerous enemies and a brand-new mission await him: to reset the future. Directed by Alan Taylor, the 126-minute 2015 film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke and Jai Courtney in a time-travel action film.
