The Whisper Man

A closer look at the story

A widower trying to rebuild his life with his young son sees his world collapse when the boy vanishes without a trace. Desperate, the father is forced to turn to the last person he expected to ask for help: his own father, from whom he has been estranged for years. The older man, a retired detective, put a serial killer behind bars years ago after a string of terrible murders. Now, however, his grandson's disappearance appears to be strangely connected to that old case. Father and son set aside their resentments and begin working together to find the little boy. The closer they get to the truth, the more they must confront both the dark shadows of the past and the deep wounds in their own relationship. Directed by James Ashcroft and adapted from Alex North's novel, this 111-minute 2026 crime thriller stars Robert De Niro, Adam Scott, Michelle Monaghan and Michael Keaton.
