Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

A closer look at the story

Superman is seen as an almost godlike saviour who has brought hope to the world, yet the devastation his power can cause leaves part of humanity deeply uneasy. Afraid of what such a being might do with no one to hold him to account, Batman, Gotham's relentless protector, decides to move against Metropolis's hero. While the world argues over what sort of hero it truly needs, the clash between the two legends also exposes humanity to a new danger unlike any it has faced before. Directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, the 152-minute 2016 film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams in a dark-toned superhero action film.
