Law of the Jungle

A closer look at the story

A hybrid reality show, Law of the Jungle blends elements of drama and documentary. Comedian Kim Byung-man leads the show and is joined in every episode by celebrity guests from different fields, including many idol stars and well-known actors. The programme takes viewers to exotic, little-known natural locations all over the world. In these wild, sparsely inhabited areas, the celebrities have to fend for themselves. To complete their missions and stay on their feet, they need to work as a team. Wherever they go, the group meets local tribes and communities and experiences their way of life. In each region, the guests must hunt and cook their own food and also build shelter for the tribe. Names such as Noh Woo-jin, Park Jung-chul, Ryu Dam and Ricky Kim have also appeared on the programme. Launched on SBS in 2011, the show ended after 893 episodes.
