WWE NXT

A closer look at the story

WWE NXT is one of WWE's professional wrestling programmes. On the show, wrestlers step into the ring playing heroes or villains, each with a personality, style and story of their own. At the heart of NXT is a chain of unfolding events. Rivalries, alliances, betrayals and challenges between opponents ratchet up the tension from one episode to the next. That tension finally comes to a head in the ring, in a single match or a whole series of bouts. Combining showmanship with athletic performance, the programme offers wrestling fans both excitement and drama. William Regal, Johnny Gargano, Jacy Jayne and Booker T are among those who have appeared on the show. Created by Paul Levesque and Vince McMahon, NXT has aired since 2010 on a range of channels and platforms including USA Network, The CW and Syfy.
