A closer look at the story

Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby, a raccoon, are two inseparable best friends. Both work as groundskeepers at a local park, a job they consider the most boring in the world. Rather than mowing lawns, tidying up or carrying out the routine tasks they are given, they look for ways to liven things up. Every attempt, however, sets off a chain of unbelievable and surreal events, so that an ordinary working day for these two slackers can turn into something wildly out of the ordinary. Their odd co-workers, such as Skips, Pops, Benson and Muscle Man, are an inseparable part of the chaos. Created by J.G. Quintel and broadcast by Cartoon Network over eight seasons and 245 episodes starting in 2010, this animated comedy features J.G. Quintel as the voice of Mordecai and William Salyers as Rigby.
