Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

A closer look at the story

Back at Hogwarts for his fifth year, Harry discovers that much of the wizarding world refuses to accept that Voldemort has returned. To keep a tight grip on what happens at the school, Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge installs his own appointee, Dolores Umbridge, as the teacher of Defence Against the Dark Arts. When her Ministry-approved, theory-only lessons leave students defenceless against the danger ahead, Harry, urged on by Hermione and Ron, takes matters into his own hands and starts secretly training a small band that calls itself Dumbledore's Army. With David Yates directing and Michael Goldenberg writing, the 138-minute 2007 film features Imelda Staunton as Umbridge and Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix in a fantasy adventure.
