Kong: Skull Island

A closer look at the story

In the 1970s, a government-backed expedition made up of scientists and soldiers sets out for a legendary, uncharted island in the Pacific. At first sight the primordial island looks like an untouched paradise, but they realise too late that it is the domain of a colossal creature, the king of the apes. Their mission quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival, and the team must find a way out of a dangerous world where humans were never meant to be. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the 118-minute 2017 film stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and Brie Larson in an action adventure.
