A closer look at the story

A man has voluntarily withdrawn from the world and begun living alone on a remote island. He believes he has left his past behind and found refuge somewhere no one can reach him. One night, however, a violent storm strikes the island and changes everything. In the middle of it, the man saves a young girl whose life is in danger. That single act of kindness sets off an unstoppable chain of events. The girl attracts the attention of dangerous enemies connected to the man's past, and to protect her he must break his seclusion and return to the world he has been running from for years. Now he will fight both to save the girl's life and to settle accounts with his own history. Directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Ward Parry, this 107-minute 2026 action thriller stars Jason Statham, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays and Harriet Walter.
