Sacrifice

A closer look at the story

A glittering charity gala packed with celebrities, billionaires and hollow speeches is unexpectedly plunged into chaos. One of the evening's guests is a famous film star caught in the middle of an existential crisis. This star is seized as a hostage by a radical warrior woman and her loyal followers. In an instant, the dazzling gala becomes a scene of danger. As the night goes on, two journeys begin for the film star: one out in the world, a wild adventure full of surprises; the other within, a deep journey in which he questions the meaning of his life. Along the way, the boundaries between performance and belief, and between salvation and sacrifice, become more and more blurred. Romain Gavras directs, sharing writing credit with Will Arbery; the 100-minute 2026 adventure comedy stars Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Vincent Cassel, Salma Hayek Pinault and John Malkovich.
