A closer look at the story

Biotechnology professor Se-jeong attends a biotech conference that brings together the leading names in her field. What begins as a scientific gathering, however, soon becomes a bloody nightmare. A fast-mutating virus gets loose, and the infection spreads through the building in the blink of an eye. Trying to bring the situation under control, the authorities quarantine the entire facility and seal its doors. There is now no way out for those trapped inside. As the infected undergo grotesque, terrifying transformations, Se-jeong and a handful of other survivors battle to keep breathing against an ever-growing threat. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who wrote it with Choi Gyu-seok, this 123-minute 2026 South Korean horror film stars Gianna Jun, Koo Kyo-hwan and Ji Chang-wook.
