Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

A closer look at the story

Captain Jack Sparrow is trapped in Davy Jones's Locker. To bring him back, Will, Elizabeth and Barbossa set out on a perilous voyage beyond the edges of the known world. Meanwhile Lord Cutler Beckett's East India Trading Company, which now has Davy Jones under its control, is tightening its hold on the seas, and the very survival of the pirates is in doubt. The pirate lords must be gathered for one final stand, yet in a war where loyalties are tested and alliances keep shifting, everyone must eventually decide whose side they are on. Made under Gore Verbinski with a script by Elliott and Rossio, the 169-minute 2007 film brings back Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth in a large-scale pirate adventure.
