The Secret Life of Pets 2

A closer look at the story

Max the terrier's life is turned upside down once his owner marries and a baby arrives. As he struggles to adjust to the new routine, Max's anxieties only grow during the family's trip to a farm outside New York. Cows that cannot stand dogs, hostile foxes and a frightening turkey give the jittery Max no peace. Luckily, the farm is also home to Rooster, a gruff dog who works the farm and sets about curing him of his fears and building up his self-confidence. Back in the city, things are just as busy: Snowball plays the hero in an attempt to rescue a tiger cub, while Gidget disguises herself as a cat. Directed by Chris Renaud and written by Brian Lynch, this 86-minute 2019 animation features the voices of Patton Oswalt, Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet, Jenny Slate and Tiffany Haddish.
