The Equalizer 3

A closer look at the story

Robert McCall is a man who has always sided with the oppressed and found comfort in the pursuit of justice. Ever since he turned his back on his life as a government assassin, he has been trying to forgive himself for the terrible things he did in the past. That search brings him to Southern Italy, where, unexpectedly, he comes to feel at home. Peace does not last, however: McCall realises that his new friends are living under the thumb of local crime bosses, the mafia. When events take a deadly turn, he is in no doubt about his next step: he will shield his friends and take on the mob single-handed. Antoine Fuqua directs Richard Wenk's script in this 109-minute 2023 film starring Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning in an action thriller.
