Loki
Loki: The God of Mischief in the hands of the Time Variance Authority
A closer look at the story
Loki is a Marvel Studios series that picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame. During those events an alternate version of Loki, the sly God of Mischief, makes off with the Tesseract. That escape lands him somewhere completely unfamiliar: the Time Variance Authority. This mysterious, rule-bound organisation exists beyond time and space and keeps watch over the flow of the timeline. In its eyes, Loki is a disruptive "time variant". He is offered a stark choice: accept being wiped out of existence altogether, or help repair the timeline and stop a far greater danger. Created by Michael Waldron, the series premiered on Disney+ in 2021 and wrapped up after two seasons and 12 episodes. Tom Hiddleston plays Loki, and Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku and Owen Wilson round out the main cast.
