Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

A closer look at the story

Instead of returning to Hogwarts for their final year, Harry, Ron and Hermione take on a far more dangerous task: tracking down and destroying the remaining Horcruxes that hold the secret of Voldemort's immortality. They no longer have their teachers' guidance or Dumbledore's protection, so the three friends can count only on one another, and dark influences creeping between them put even that bond to the test. Meanwhile the Death Eaters have seized the Ministry of Magic and are arresting anyone who opposes them, while Harry remains the person the Dark Lord wants most. Made under David Yates with a script adapted by Steve Kloves, the 146-minute 2010 film, featuring Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix, is a dark road movie that sets up the series' final part.
