Hunter x Hunter

A closer look at the story

Young Gon Freecss, who lives on Whale Island, one day learns a truth that changes his life: his father, Ging, who left him when he was very small, is alive and is a Hunter. Hunters are elite members of society licensed to go almost anywhere and do almost anything. Determined to walk the same path as his father, Gon decides to take the gruelling Hunter Exam. His goal is to become a Hunter in his own right and eventually track his father down. Along the way he meets friends such as Killua, Leorio and Kurapika, each carrying a story of their own. He soon learns, however, that being a Hunter demands far more than he imagined and that the trials ahead are counted among the hardest in the world. Launched on Nippon TV in 2011 and running for three seasons and 148 episodes, this adventure anime features Megumi Han as the voice of Gon and Mariya Ise as Killua.
