Logan
Logan — a weary hero's final road
A closer look at the story
In the near future, an ageing and exhausted Logan is looking after an increasingly frail Professor X in a hideaway close to the Mexican border. All he wants is to stay away from the world and from the legend he left behind. That fragile arrangement collapses when Laura, a young mutant hunted by dark forces, turns up. However reluctantly, Logan has to unsheathe his claws once more to protect her. Directed by James Mangold, who wrote it with Scott Frank and Michael Green, the 137-minute 2017 film stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Dafne Keen in a hard-hitting, emotional superhero drama.
