The small cowboy town of Big Whiskey leads a quiet life under the hard rule of sheriff "Little" Bill Daggett. But one of the town's working women is savagely wounded by her customers. When the sheriff lets the culprits off, the women put a price on the attackers' heads. That reward puts a gun back in the hands of William Munny, a man once notorious as a merciless killer who, after his wife's death, left that life behind entirely and took up pig farming. Needing money to care for his two children, Munny accepts the offer of the brash young gunman known as the Schofield Kid and, together with his old partner, goes bounty hunting one last time. The journey will set him against a corrupt sheriff who has no intention of tolerating hired guns in his town. Directed by Clint Eastwood and written by David Webb Peoples, the 130-minute 1992 film stars Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman and Richard Harris in a dark western.
