Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo: A father who crosses the ocean

KINONOOK / EN

A closer look at the story

On the Great Barrier Reef, the clownfish Marlin is an anxious father who tries to protect his only son, Nemo, from every danger in the world. On his first day of school, eager to prove himself, Nemo swims too close to open water and is scooped up by a diver; he wakes up in a fish tank in a dentist's office. Determined to bring his son home, Marlin sets off across unfamiliar stretches of ocean with Dory, a kind-hearted fish who forgets almost everything, and along the way they meet sharks trying to give up fish, surfing turtles and very hungry seagulls. Andrew Stanton's 2003 Pixar film pairs Albert Brooks as Marlin with Ellen DeGeneres as Dory in a funny family adventure about courage and trust.
