Chicago Med

A closer look at the story

Chicago Med takes a look at the daily chaos of the city's busiest and most volatile hospital, seen through the eyes of the brave doctors and medical staff who hold it together. A new case can come through the emergency room doors at any moment: sometimes an accident, sometimes an illness, sometimes an unusual situation inspired by current events. In a setting where every second counts, the doctors and nurses must make hard decisions and save lives. But it is not only medical crises that unfold in the hospital's corridors; in the middle of this pulse-racing pandemonium, strong friendships, fiery relationships and fierce clashes also take root. Characters such as Sharon Goodwin, Dr. Daniel Charles, Maggie Lockwood and Dr. Will Halstead face both professional and personal tests. Part of Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead's NBC lineup since 2015, this medical drama stars S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt and Nick Gehlfuss.
