Kraken

A closer look at the story

A marine biologist is carrying out research at a fish farm. What starts out as routine work soon takes a disturbing turn. The biologist begins to encounter strange happenings at the farm that are hard to explain. When the savage deaths of two teenagers are added to these mysterious events, unease in the area steadily grows. Every sign points in the same direction: the dark depths of the fjord. The question of whether far more is hidden in these waters than the eye can see grows ever more unsettling. The harder the biologist tries to uncover the truth, the clearer the scale of the danger waiting beneath the surface becomes. Directed by Pål Øie and written by Vilde Eide, Kjersti Helen Rasmussen and Natasha Arthur, this 94-minute 2026 Norwegian horror thriller stars Sara Khorami, Mikkel Bratt Silset and Ingvild Holthe Bygdnes.
