Parasite
Parasite: The invisible staircase between two families
Original title: 기생충
A closer look at the story
Kim Ki-taek and his family are out of work and scraping by on whatever small jobs come their way. When a door opens into the life of the wealthy Park family, the Kims see their chance, and one by one they find ways to be employed in the household, bending the truth considerably as they go. As the lives of the two families become entangled, the arrangement is shaken by something nobody could have planned for. Directed by Bong Joon Ho, who wrote it with Han Jin-won, the 2019 film stars Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun and Choi Woo-shik in a sharp story about class that blends dark comedy with suspense.
