A closer look at the story

The US government comes up with an unusual answer for its most dangerous assignments: gather imprisoned supervillains and use them as a covert unit it can disown if anything goes wrong. Promised shorter sentences in return, these criminals are armed by the state and sent on a high-risk operation. As the mission unfolds, however, the members of the team begin to suspect they were chosen not to succeed but to be sacrificed if necessary. Written and directed by David Ayer and based on DC Comics characters, the 122-minute 2016 film stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis in an antihero action film.
