Slow Horses

A closer look at the story

Slow Horses takes viewers into a not-exactly-glamorous corner of MI5 and the world of a dysfunctional, ill-matched team of agents. At their head is a boss who is crude, scruffy, sarcastic and thoroughly obnoxious: the notorious Jackson Lamb. Agents such as River Cartwright, Catherine Standish and Roddy Ho find themselves at the centre of serious danger. Trying to find their way through the smoke-and-mirrors maze of the espionage world, this team fights in its own way to protect England from sinister forces. Streaming on Apple TV since 2022, this espionage series stars Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, with Jack Lowden and Kristin Scott Thomas also in the cast.
