The Mentalist

A closer look at the story

Thanks to his keen powers of observation and his knack for reading people like a book, Patrick Jane spent years passing himself off as a psychic and became famous for it. A television appearance, however, changes his life forever: a serial killer known as Red John murders his wife and daughter. Blaming himself for their deaths, Jane now lives for a single purpose: finding Red John. To that end he puts his talents at the service of a team that investigates serious crimes and starts working as a consultant. As he cracks complex cases with the team, he never stops chasing the clue that will lead him to Red John. Created by Bruno Heller, the series began on CBS in 2008 and concluded after 7 seasons and 151 episodes; Simon Baker, Robin Tunney and Tim Kang star in this crime drama.
