A closer look at the story
Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello are four young ninja turtles. On their fifteenth birthday, they head up to the surface for the very first time. Skyscrapers, crowded streets and city lights seem to open the door to the adventurous world they have always dreamed of. Life outside the sewers, however, is not what they expected. Before long, the turtles come up against dangerous new enemies who are scheming to seize control of New York. The four brothers have to learn to fight side by side if they are to protect the city. Along the way, they cross paths with characters such as April and Karai. Created by Ciro Nieli, Joshua Sternin and Jennifer Ventimilia and airing on Nickelodeon from 2012 for five seasons and 124 episodes, this animated series features the voices of Rob Paulsen, Sean Astin, Greg Cipes and Mae Whitman.
