NCIS

A closer look at the story

NCIS, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, is a special unit that looks into any offence involving members of the Navy or the Marine Corps, whatever their rank or position. Killings, spying, terror plots and even missing submarines are all in a day's work for the team. At its head is Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a former Marine gunnery sergeant known for his exceptional skills. He is joined by Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, once a homicide detective, the computer whiz Special Agent Timothy McGee and the brilliant forensic scientist Abby Sciuto. One of the team's greatest allies is medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard. Blending action and humour, this police drama was created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill and has aired on CBS since 2003, with Mark Harmon, Sean Murray and David McCallum in the cast.
