JAG: A lawyer-officer on military cases

KINONOOK / EN

A closer look at the story

Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr. is an officer who used to be a pilot before turning to the law. He now practises law in the armed forces' JAG (Judge Advocate General) unit, the elite legal arm made up of officers who both prosecute and defend people accused of crimes connected to the armed forces. Working in this unit, Harm puts his sharp mind to use uncovering the truth behind complex cases. In this demanding role, his closest colleague is Lt. Col. Sarah MacKenzie. Side by side, the two do whatever it takes to get to the truth. Blending legal drama with action, the series tells stories in which military discipline and the pursuit of justice meet. Donald P. Bellisario created the show, which began on NBC before moving to CBS and ran from 1995 for ten seasons and 227 episodes, with David James Elliott as Harm and Catherine Bell as Sarah MacKenzie.
