Scream

A closer look at the story

The quiet town of Woodsboro still bears the scars of a series of brutal killings committed a quarter of a century ago. Twenty-five years on, the nightmare starts again: a new killer steps forward wearing that all too familiar Ghostface mask. This time the target is a group of teenagers. The killer is determined to dig up the buried secrets of the town's bloody past. Young characters such as Sam and Tara Carpenter and Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin try to survive a deadly game in which they cannot tell friend from foe. When Woodsboro's dark history collides with present-day terror, nobody is safe. Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin direct this 114-minute 2022 mystery horror starring Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid and Mason Gooding.
