Thor: Love and Thunder
Thor: Love and Thunder — against a killer who hunts gods
A closer look at the story
Thor, the God of Thunder, has been keeping away from heroics for a while in search of inner peace. That quiet spell ends when a cosmic murderer known as the God Butcher, Gorr, appears, sworn to wipe out every god. To face the threat, Thor calls in old friends: King Valkyrie, Korg and his former girlfriend Jane Foster. What is more, Jane has somehow begun wielding the legendary hammer Mjolnir and become the Mighty Thor. Together they set off on a cosmic journey to discover what drives Gorr's thirst for revenge and halt him before it is too late. Directed by Taika Waititi, who wrote it with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the 119-minute 2022 film features Christian Bale as Gorr and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie in a colourful superhero comedy.
