Don't Leave the Kids Alone

A closer look at the story

With her two children, a mother settles into a different house. One night, however, the mother has to leave the siblings by themselves at home. Treating her absence as a taste of freedom, the brother and sister start out playing happily and without a care around the house. Before long, though, their fun night becomes something else entirely. What is happening inside the house grows more and more unsettling, and the game gives way to breathless fear. For the siblings, trapped between four walls, the night turns into a claustrophobic nightmare. Emilio Portes directs from a script he wrote with Alan Maldonado; the 97-minute 2026 Mexican horror film stars Ana Serradilla, Juan Pablo Velasco and Ricardo Galina.
