In the future, murders can be stopped before they happen. Detective John Anderton heads Precrime, a police unit that catches killers before they act, thanks to psychic precogs and advanced technology. Anderton believes wholeheartedly that the system works perfectly, until the day the precogs foresee that he himself will commit a murder. Hunted by his own unit, Anderton must run against the clock to prove his innocence and change the future. The hunter has become the hunted. Adapted from a story by Philip K. Dick and directed by Steven Spielberg, the 145-minute 2002 film stars Tom Cruise, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton and Max von Sydow in a science-fiction thriller.
