A closer look at the story

The paths of Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson cross once more, and this time the meeting place is the enchanting Italian island of Capri. Emily is preparing to marry a wealthy Italian businessman, and her wedding is set to be one of the most lavish events the island has seen. The dazzling guests suggest a flawless celebration, but things are far from as innocent as they appear. Murder and treachery mingle with the stylish crowd. As the wedding preparations unfold, secrets, lies and surprising reversals follow one after another, and events become as winding as the roads that snake up from the island's harbour to the town square. Paul Feig directs this 123-minute 2025 mystery comedy from a script by Laeta Kalogridis and Jessica Sharzer, starring Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively and Henry Golding.
